“I think so many couples think that their wedding day is all about them, when it really isn’t. Angelo and I have the rare opportunity to be able to reflect on our two wedding experiences. We had our intimate elopement in Sydney during COVID where we got officially married and then we had our big wedding with family and friends at Villa Botanica 2 years later. A wedding with family and friends is about celebrating not just yourselves, but all of the important people in your life. It’s important to realise that you’re not going to be completely relaxed or able to do everything you want on the day. You have to make sure you try to talk to all of your guests, there are speeches, and dances etc. I’m not saying it won’t be fun or special, but being a host of one of the biggest events of your life does take some stamina and selflessness.”
