“Sam grew up by the water in the Gold Coast and I grew up surrounded by water in Bombay, India. Our first date was on a cliff overlooking the bay in Melbourne and all our houses so far have been close to the water. We knew our wedding would be by the water and that was one of the main reasons for choosing Villa Botanica. Of course, the rest of the venue with its Balinese feel, the way we felt supported from our first enquiry through to the entire day and the absolutely stunning venue all contributed to the decision.
Our wedding was the melding of our two cultures and Villa and the team worked really hard with us to incorporate all the elements we wanted from both our cultures. Whether it was modifying the ceremony slightly or adding in Bollywood dancing to the reception or accommodating outfit changed and some tough dietary requirements, nothing was too hard! Our guests also deeply appreciated it!”
